Scottish film and stage actor Alan Cumming debuted on Broadway as the Master of Ceremonies in the highly acclaimed 1998 revival of Cabaret, earning a Tony Award® for Best Actor in a Musical, a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical, and a Theatre World Award for his performance. The production, directed by Sam Mendes, had originated at the Donmar Warehouse theater in London. There, Cumming was nominated for an Olivier Award as the Master of Ceremonies.
Fans of the series Sex in the City will know Cumming as the designer named O; he also had the ongoing role of Bill Blaikie during the third season of The L Word.
