Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Allegro Returns to the Stage
Following the success of their first two blockbusters, Oklahoma! in 1943 and Carousel in 1945, expectations ran high that Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II’s Allegro. Now, over half a decade later it returns to the stage in an off-Broadway performance as the second installment of Classic Stage Company’s Musical Theatre Initiative.
