Happy Birthday Alan Jay Lerner #MusicalMonday

One of the great creators of Broadway’s Golden Age era, Alan Jay Lerner is best remembered for the lyrics he wrote to Frederick Loewe’s music for such iconic shows as My Fair Lady, Brigadoon and Camelot. To celebrate the anniversary of his birth, we chose to present selections from these musicals, as well as from “On A Clear Day You Can See Forever,” which he wrote with Burton Lane, and “The Little Prince,” a charming if ill-fated musical treatment of Antoine de St. Exupéry’s famous fable for children. Listen to the musical Monday playlist here.
